LWCG stand setups

It's a little tricky that way with LWCG J-bolt placement. Some of the best locations have cutouts too small to pass the bolts through. Using a washer (in my case I had a versa button) lets you secure through the wolf's head. Slightly longer bolts would make this even easier, but as you can see...(Ignore that I'm short one J-hook after lending my sticks, lol)...it is doable (and rock solid)...

No impact on bag attachment either...

If I wasn't running cable aiders, I'd align the double lengthwise along the center post.
What bag is this?

Not the best, but here are some of the set up.
I just ordered another hanger to go on the other side, in case there was ever a situation that I needed to hang them off my right.

I have the mule clip at the top and a titan strap zip tied to the post to strap the bottom portion of the stick, but that’s not needed.

What belt pouches are those?

Did you decide what sticks you are going with?
Well I currently have the Tethrd one sticks waiting to be delivered tomorrow. If I like the aiders I bought for them I’ll give them a shot. Oh well need to figure out how to pack them too.

if they don’t work for me they will go bye bye and I’ll be using the 17” compacts from LWCG.

I just put my Tethrd Ones horizontally across the seat and strap my pack in on top, seems to work well.

What pack r u using? I’m trying to go minimal and honestly it’s getting annoying. As soon as I get a setup dialed in I forgot that I have one more thing to add. Lolol

The lonewolf pack. Someone’s got one for a good price in classifieds now. I highly recommend it.

Just saw a video where Cody had gear ties snaked around his treestand cables. He does this to attach cover to his stand if he feels the need I guess. Interesting idea for no real weight penalty! Might try it.

Love the stand so far. The added foot rests help me a lot

I do however think I need to come up with a different bag. My Kuiu venture 1800 now just seems like too much. I have tried strapping it to stand and carrying with stand shoulder straps but actually have started strapping stand to bag and carrying that way.

I think I will try and downsize to smaller bag that can strap to stand just to hold my extra clothes and kill kit but also keep weight down.

I really only traded a predator XL platform and saddle for a .5 and mutiny harness but when I weighed set up the other day it surprised me.

What surprised you about the weight?
I took my .75 with loaded wolf pack and over 8lbs of climbing gear. I used the .75 as my pack frame. I was very surprised on how easy the load was.
My total weight was over 25lbs.

Was loaded up for mid October hunt with extra bottles of water and was at 25 lbs. Felt like a lot but I also had a trail cam and lock in there too. That was also with 3 sticks and two have aiders.

Realistically the weight from saddle and platform setup is probably damn near the same but that caught me by surprise.

A small pack with molle straps that I could hold my clothes and kill kit and strap to stand would be an upgrade I think. Love my venture but I don’t think it pairs well with .5.

I’ll know more after the next few weeks because I will be hunting significantly more now that my moose hunt is over.

I have the hip belt on my .75. It helps alot. The distance between the hip belt and top of my shoulder straps fits me.

I am a believer in the .5 hybrid stand setup! I absolutely love this system. I just wanted to share a simple trick that worked well for me when carrying the sticks. A single titan strap across the middle with the tethrd one sticks. It’s almost like the stacking pins were made for the seat and everything fits flush.

i did that with my 4 doubles and .5, had them strapped up and in the back of my truck. Next time I looked at them the Titan strap was cut clean in to.

When I said the weight felt like a lot I meant the actual weight of my gear. Carrying it felt fine. Wasn’t sure if that came across correctly.

Just feels like I’ve added lbs to my kit. Probably should be more worried about lbs to midsection
