LWCG The Fix

There’s a video online, but to sum up, it’s pull up and cam, not pull down and cam

Have watched this video about 15 times, quess I am kinda dumb, still having issues. can get it cammed over but when I stand on the platform, the top bracket pulls away from the tree. followed the instructions to the "T", even placed my phone next to the tree to follow it step by step. need someone the set it up while on their sticks up in the air. will try again in the morning
not trying to sound ungrateful, appreciate any help I can get

Best advice I can give you… sell it and move on.

Reminds me of:

Yea one particular company has yet to “invent” a single idea that has been “patent” worthy technology. The fact that the USPTO grants them these patents, Just further proves what I said about the USPTO not actually researching or sticking too what the patent law says is patent-able. It has to be new and non obvious. You also have to be the inventor. But the USPTO won’t spend time and money scrolling the internet to find out what is normal in this industry. They only research and compare the patent applications to “existing art” aka art that has already been patented. Our lawyer is looking at a few pending applications and we are thinking about challenging them with the USPTO patent grantor because of how ridiculous it is getting. But yes that idea has been around since before 2018 so it’s not new or non obvious to anyone except the USPTO lol

I will gladly shoot a video this weekend showing how to cam it from the top of sticks. It’s pretty easy and once it bites down, it is almost impossible to get that top bracket to pull away from the tree. In fact it bites so well that I’m scared of messing up the strap trying to get it lose after I’m done lol

Do I need to lawyer up or what!? Lol

 I somehow doubt you are trying to patent anything that is obvious and existing to people within the saddle community. But if you were, I have little doubt the USPTO would grant it

My fix has been sitting in Delaware at my main home waiting very patiently for me to come and play with it next week Lol.
My daughters .5 should be hopefully shipped soon.

Wondering what kind of tree you’re trying to cam it to. The only semi useful trees for practicing shooting in a tree I have in my yard are walnut trees. The only thing I can get a good cam on those things is my Helo stand. Any saddle platform I’ve tried won’t stay tight worth a crap on that hard styrofoam bark.

am having better success with the platform, yes, when it sets in, its very hard to get it to move, still have it pull away from the tree a little. The instructions that said to have about an inch from the tree, I find the strap is way too loose. I collapse the platform up, pull the strap tight, and pull up as far as I can, which is not that much, and then pull the platform outward and then downward while holding the post up in position. suggestions?

Your not alone… I have a .5 and Ambush, my Ambush which I love does the same thing after a couple hours, I look down and my top bracket is away from the tree, I run a second strap on both the .5 and Ambush so I don’t worry much but it still is unnerving when I see it, the .5 I can just toe hook quick and be done, the Ambush you have to climb off during the hunt to cam again, Enkriss has brought this up several times, last year was my first full season with both of them and I never really did get them dialed in… I will admit I also don’t hunt in the air very much… towards the end of season I was really reefing on the Ambush when setting it and that seemed to help.

Wow!! tried setting the Fix while 19 feet up in the air in a tree, never could get it tight, had to rush because my feet were killing me standing on that stick step for so long. will try again tomorrow,
What am I missing? am I wanting it to do more than it is meant to? guess I should have done better research on it. Not the equipment's fault, mine I am afraid. great platform once it is set properly. not bashing the equipment, just frustrated I guess

I agree it bites so hard for me that it's boarder line to much of a bite. Leaves massive marks in the tree that are penetrating into the cambium layer.

The below are taken today but are from when I received the platform the first week they shipped, so they trees have started to heal.

I didn’t get around to shooting a short video this weekend but I am going to for the guys who are having issues. I have similar marks in my trees. For me it’s harder to get it to release after the hunt than it is to set it

My Ambush bites like that too, looks like a bear was there, I wonder if my cam buckle is slipping some over time, I only have problems after a couple hours of use, I cam that sucker over and it’s locked onto the tree like nobody’s business, over time, usually a couple hours, the top bracket will eventually be off the tree, I use the same strap for that platform every time… maybe this weekend I will screw around with it, regardless I’m not switching platforms the Ambush is still my favorite.

I have an ambush too. I’ll take the fix 10 out of 10 times over the ambush

Great, so now your telling me I shouldn’t have cancelled my fix that was on preorder and bust out another couple hundred for a platform to hang on the wall LMAO, if I remember correct I wanted something else at the time and to justify the new expenditure to the half of my brain that is fiscally responsible I cancelled on the Fix, however now I can’t even remember what I bought so maybe the clock has been reset and a Fix will be headed my way, on second thought don’t make that video, @CarstensViper400 just list that Fix in the classifieds, these guys are pulling your leg, that thing won’t cam over LOL.

Same cam over system, not quite as big but over a pound lighter, has smoother edges, and the teeth are angled allowing that bite to stay put better than the ambush. The hanging hook is money even while Ddrt climbing it stays on the back of my saddle with no gear ties or straps to hold it and it’s post is tight so it doesn’t clang around and make noise. Oh and it has less flex in it (probably because it’s smaller) this is the one time I am glad I preordered lol
