Most disappointing products you bought

Funny timing....my redesigned standoffs arrived a few minutes after I posted my message. Serendipity? :flushed:

Glad to have them....gives me confidence the sticks won't buckle under me (I'm a bit over 200 lbs, so pushing 230/40 geared up). But the wheel had to squeak real loud to make that happen.

I also don't think speaking of future products that were shown at a local demo is being a d-bag. If the company didn't want the products known, then they shouldn't be showing them in a public venue. And if they wanted potential customer feedback, but not have the information go public, then they should have gotten NDAs from anyone they wanted to show the products to, and without getting an NDA, then don't show...or at least make it clear that the information was confidential and that it should not be shared.

That is how it's usually done.

But coming out publicly saying "I saw some secret stuff...nah...nah....not gonna tell you about it" to people that are bound to be extremely interested, with no intention of sharing such details.....well, at best that is one way try to inflate your ego and at worst, that is being a d-bag to everyone else here. Should have just kept quiet about it, @Weldabeast.

As long u aren't trying to tarnish my ego.....sheesh

My m100u was a big disappointment....I hoped the super deluxe seat would allow me to sit for more than a couple hours without back discomfort....it's a league above the other hang on I have had/tried but I still stiffen up...I wish I spent that large sum on a saddle instead but I was kinda late to the "game" in getting educated on saddles

I'm pretty darn cozy in a M100u. Add that to the list of "works for me"

It is the best hang on I've tried but a lower back surgery makes it difficult for me to sit for long periods of time....saddle is far the best.... that was a good chunk of change for a stand that hangs on the wall in the garage gathering spiderwebs....it will still get used by family so it's not a total disappointment...I was really just trying to get back on track

Mantis saddle
Aluminum ferrules and thin blades
Any rangefinder with a black display
Twist lock gate carabiners, they snap and pop and are impossibly loud for the deer woods
Mass produced turkey calls of any kind...... cheap junk. They may call in turkeys fine but I don't like 'em!!
HME Deer Drag. I went back to my home made drag that has a simple loop of paracord and a 6 inch long piece of white 1" diameter pvc tubing. Have used it without fail for over 25 years
H2 Digital Bow Scale from LCA

this is the best piece of equipment I own. Made a camo material sleeve with a sling strap for it with a draw string close top. Just un-roll it, tie deer to it and I like to use the harness type drag that goes over your shoulders like a pack. Slides super easy even with a big buck on it.

One thing's for certain..... we are always looking for the next best thing!!! I can say for the most part, product developers for hunting gear know there is a steep sense of skepticism amongst the hunting community relative to gear and tactics..... for the most part. The cottage industries developing as a result of climbing and saddlehunting are the best of what free enterprise and capitalism have to offer. Will there be products put forth to make gobs and gobs of cash first and be functional second or third or fourth? For sure, but we have the opportunity to try and recommend and tweak and modify and criticize and not support etc. Thank you free market. Lets take heed and be thankful that we can buy and liquidate if need be. And even more so that we can buy and support the creative folks identifying needs (and wants) of us hunters. Keep the free market bustling strong fellow saddlehunters!!!!!
