I attached the wrong new tribe Harness the other day when we discussed the pending patents on this saddle…. Here is the one that new tribe makes that is even gaped similar to your legs with the second webbing bridge attachment and all.Cost is 1/3 the one in the video just for reference though it says the weight is only 2 lbs so 2.5 lbs is possible in the one from Hang30

While I agree that they both offer support under your legs, the New Tribe harness offers no support under your butt.

I have no idea if the new Contour saddle will be comfortable but, discounting the support it offers under your butt is like saying a typical RCH offers the same support as a hunting saddle.

Check out the new climbing stick prototype from JX3 in this new video. I have no details, but looks like a strong option.

That's basically the Ameristep Rapid Rail but wider. Don't get me wrong, I love and have used the Rapid Rail to one stick before. Its really solid.

You are correct especially in the leaning position where the leg support does much less and having back and butt support would be more advantageous. I think that is why Boswell asked new tribe to add the swing seat to the aerohunter evo because the original aerohunter harness didn’t have it. Which makes me a little less excited about the new revo because I haven’t seen any butt support in the photos for it either and I was a big fan of the older evo. To the point I purchased one of Redbeard’s spares.

The contours' leg support also only pulls from the inside of your legs, probably helps him with his "50% less hip pinch" claim. I would think 2" webbing under you would be more comfortable than what looks like 1" webbing. Won't that become the pressure point under you, the rest of the fabric is just kinda there?

Yes and no. The fabric will help some but mostly the webbing but New Tribe has the 1.75” at the bottom where the most pull pressure will come from. There is no noticeable difference between 2” webbing and 1.75” webbing. The one inch down the leg vs the 2” will be more noticeable but new tribe also adds padding into the areas where pressure is felt. Minus the metal used in that saddle, it’s an amazing deal for a budget saddle concept and would be more comfy that an RCH or that Fusion floating d harness people were buying up. I was simply pointing out the distinct similarities in the two. As GCTerp pointed out, having the butt section will help with weight distribution.

This isn’t a “new” item but it’s related. I noticed Latitude outdoors is starting to sell stick attachment methods. Maybe it’s not related to them releasing their sticks but it seems like it could be.

Lol I’m just gonna hire a really good hype marketing person. That way stuff don’t gotta be good to sell.. see problem solved
Maybe you should be the first to role out profile pricing. If the buyer is a flatbill metrosexual, the price is 30% over msrp. If they have a mullet and Cragar's on their mobile home, they get a 5% discount and a 12 pack of busch light with their saddle. Just examples but you can prolly come up with a sliding scale that would work. ;)

Instead of middle support, move it above top rung, fold it out some for foot room and there you go.

I tell you what, those old muddy sticks weren’t light but you could absolutely use them for a platform at the top. They have great stand-off clearance too
