I just threw a quick sped-up one sticking video with the drey so you can get a visual idea.
some specific issues I had:
-really kind of a pain to deal with bridge adjustments (remember there are two).
-the two paracord prussiks for the reclining functionality also got mixed up in my biner and one was pulled to my far left and got a bit tangled up. It wasn't great having to fix that one handed.
-the LB loops become kind of ‘hidden’ when the hammock is deployed. Also at height, it’s hard to daisy chain your LB and store it away. It may be better here to connect your LB via biner on both ends to stow away into your pack at height.
-Dane was kind enough to sew some molle loops on the back of my hammock so I was able to attach my ROS/platform for the climb. I am not sure if this is a standard feature now.
-I kept my rappel rope in a tall EWO dump pouch worn like a man purse which was actually fine for me. Just noting it here that you won’t be able to keep it in a roll pouch, etc.
Once at height this saddle is hard to beat comfort wise - coming down was a breeze as well. I am sure with practice this would become more manageable but for one sticking I will stick to a single/double panel for now.
I am going to try again with the saddle not deployed and using a sit drag to see if that helps any.
Again my main concern will be colder temps so my eyes are peeled for the release of that underquilt. I may even try to DIY one with an ENO down underquilt I already have for hammock camping.
