I honestly think it's just a body shape thing. I had a transformer. Loved everything about it except that two panel saddles just don't fit me. I've tried a Method, Transformer, Recon and Wraptor clone. Having four sets of straps eventually create pressure on my hips no matter how I adjusted the two panels. Some people love two panels though.

I am more comfortable in single panels, specifically my Kestrel but @JCLINE84 is killing me with this Orion. He made the Wraptor for me years ago, and obviously the Transformer. I have a feeling I'll be sending him more money soon.

I sit most of the time. I haven’t found a 2 panel I like. I much prefer a single panel.

Pleated saddles seem to be more comfortable while sitting but I like to wear my saddle in and they are terrible for that. The Orion walks like non pleated single panel. Which happens to be super comfortable leaning also but you can let the pleat out when you are ready for sitting and get the added comfort of a pleat.
 
I could send him about any material and he could provide a saddle with a fully functioning pleat. That's where this design shines, in my opinion. Some materials, after breaking in, don't play as well with the pleat. I know he is using cordura inner layers and I'm sure that also plays a factor, but I like being able to have a custom look.

I have been the opposite. My Mantis two straps dug into me. My Recon with 4, spread the weight out over a larger area.
Only one thing to do in a time like this, take a trip to Clearfield KY. and try them both!
 
You can’t go wrong with either saddle @JCLINE84 makes they are both works of art. I cannot wait to get one soon in near future. Everything the man creates is well thought out and absolutely amazing. I’m not gonna lie I’m a fan of this man creativity and what he can offer to the saddle community
