Glad you’re diving in! Keep up the grind! Not sure what shoes you wear but check out Hokas, they will help to alleviate wear and tear on the joints.Slide over you youngsters and make some room for an older feller. My buddy texted me in Jan and challenged me to run a half-marathon in the fall. If it was anyone else I would have just laughed at them but he's that kind of friend (and a Canadian to boot) so I had to man up. I take enough crap from him that I don't want to add to the list. I had already been hiking local mtn bike trails with 45lbs in my pack to train for a Western hunt that so far only exists in my dreams. So I started running again, too. Not easy in Jan/Feb in the north but managed to log some miles in the ice and snow. It's been nice to run on dry pavement the last couple of weeks. I have janky joints so it is always a challenge to add miles while not getting the hip and knees too irritated/inflamed. Not sure if I will be ready for the June 20 date but will give it a shot.
