I used to hang them up 10' at an angle, then realized there's so much public land in NH they never get messed with - plus I'm not exactly leaving them near the trailheads.
Like many people, I'm sure, I've found a bunch of cameras on publicly accessible land - most don't even have locks. I don't F with them, and wave if the camera sees me first.
I do place locks on mine, but even when I get other hunters on them, they're just ignorantly walking by. Doesn't really surprise me since I've had a bunch of hunters walk basically under my tree and never notice me while hunting - even when I used sticks at ground level and a guy passed within 10'.
The only time I got ticked off about a camera was when I set tacks in a tree - I only tack the tree I'm climbing so I can find it in the morning. The tacks were gone and there was a camera less than 20yds away. Ticked, but I still left it undisturbed.
I wish I was a headlight on a north-bound train
