Can't see why it wouldn't with what backpack strap mesh goes through. Post up some pics and thoughts in the final build when it's done. Sounds interesting.

It’s really difficult to get a good picture of a saddle, but I finished it up today and included the spacer mesh as a liner as planned. It adds a little (undetectable) cushion and will probably help to add a little insulation on those cold days. It’s a little hard to work with when sewing to a low stretch material like 1000D cordura because the mesh stretches as the presser foot rides over it. Other than that, it’s great and super quiet. Also made my rope roll pouch, a dump pouch, and a smaller pouch for my pull up rope.

I know the struggle of dissimilar materials that you're talking about. It can be rough, but looks like you managed it well. That's a great looking setup!

Pretty sweet. I have been searching for one just like this on Amazon for weeks. No luck...

Stitched up a second version yesterday. Made it a good bit taller than the previous one, around 15" or so. First attempt was around 11". Still 10" wide. I had a 3 point attachment setup on the old one. Two for the top and one for the bottom. Seemed to cause my phantom to bunch up a little. So I changed the 3rd lower point to heavy duty elastic. Used 330D nylon. Got some new Sterling Canyon 9mm rope that seems to fit nicely. I was a little worried at first because it is a good deal stiffer than the Resc Tech it replaced. Stoked to try it out soon.

I’d consider selling mine if someone wanted it. It doesn’t really fit my style. A dump pouch is easier for me. PM me if you’re interested. Pics are a little ways back in this thread.

I just picked up a couple from @4090Sharps and received them in the mail yesterday. Highly recommend his work!!! Great stuff. Will get them incorporated into my systems hopefully very soon. I'm super busy though right now.
