Just opened mine and threw it on a tree. No issues whatsoever! Unfortunately, it's sleeting and we have bad weather moving in so I won't be able to fully use it for a few days.

I hear you there! I'm planning on putting mine to the test and then doing a review but it's supposed to be super windy and cold for like a week so that might seriously delay my efforts.

Yes I’ll be one sticking with it. I have just tried it a handful of times so far. It seems to hold well. I’ll be releasing a video after I have tried it in a variety of trees and situations.

While $240 seems high , if I added a new aider, rope and cam my fixed Shikar w scout would be right there with shipping.

For one sticking how do you feel the cleat compares to a cam cleat like a Harkin 150 or similar? Does it hold well? Is it easy enough to get out reaching down to undo and move up? Just wondering about your first hand experience. Thanks

I wish the strap was longer. It needs a good tug to get out but it seems to hold well. A cam cleat is easier to use for sure.

What’s your take on the flat part of the platform. Is it useful being that close to the tree. I’m guessing it helps for climbing but that’s about it. What day you?

Doesn’t look like the monarch has much to offer to me over the angled scout. It’s like it needs to be mounted forward of the angled part to get it a few more inches away from the tree. I’m going to wait for a review on the wingman then decide on it or staying with the scout.

I hate to do this but I must. Public Service Announcement. If you have purchased a Sh1kar with the intention of using it onesticking and you can.....CANCEL your order. The sail cleat will not release from above the stick.

I myself am skeptical about the the cleats but it’s clear in the video the guy is using rope instead of webbing. Are the cleats designed for rope, webbing or both? The other video from staggs showed the stick from OOAL cam with webbing not rope.
