Sheds and dead’s 2023

Went out Tuesday evening for a hour after work, and walk a field again that I’ve walked out 3 times the past two weeks, and since a week ago there was two fresh sheds. Then this morning went out and found these two matching sheds, and then walked 6 miles the rest of the afternoon and got skunked.
Nice. All in green fields?

Yes sir. I’m not a professional by any means, but what I’ve learn this year is food sources is where I have found all but one of my sheds.
Hopefully this helps

Same here although have only picked up a matching pair and a year old. Some of the farms near me didn't plant winter rye due to cost of grain last year I imagine. Places with any well traveled trails have been leading to green patches in moss covered fields. No acorns. I've put in some time not much to show for it yet.

Still a cool find. Could have been the site of a sparring scenario.
That's what I was thinking. For some reason bucks like to congregate here at night. It's not near any bedding, but I been finding sheds here for 10 years. I've seen bucks travel about a mile just to hang out here. But it's always at night.

Found these two sheds this morning before it started to snow here in pa. Walked 4 miles and they look like they were from last year maybe

My buddy found the larger one the other day but he puts them on a grape row post to mark it for trimming. I found this little spiker today though after hiking around two miles or so I was almost back to the truck!!

im intrigued seeing all these spike sheds getting found! I only ever find sheds from shooter bucks, presumably because the little ones are harder to see and because animals have no problem dragging the little ones back to their dens.

Was out scouting last Friday, somas a buck still racked. Walked 3 miles and no sheds/dead’s. Anyone else still seeing deer not dropping them?

Most of the bucks around my area dropped early, in December. Though I saw a button buck the other day still holding on, which was even more strange.
