i want to make mine like a Klemz or predator I'm thinking of making some teeth for it and mounting it to the bottom of the stick
How have you been hanging yours so far? You have that awesome machined post so that would have to be modified to make it work like a Klemz wouldn't it?i want to make mine like a Klemz or predator I'm thinking of making some teeth for it and mounting it to the bottom of the stick

I’m using a ratchet strap around the post. It’s the only way I can get it right to the tree where the top won’t pull away. I thinks my tree brackets give way to much to cam over.
I would have to make another post. There wouldn’t be another way to mount it. But I have to admit I’m liking the platform.
It’s just a thought.

Wait so they are $99 brand new? How is this guy selling them for $20, that's crazy. A win for us I guess.
I ended up making some brackets from 1.5" aluminum angle like I have seen on Slo Mo's video from his XOP build I believe. Was skeptical but have worked great so far camming the platform over. Had to make sure the platform ended up centered on the post or the top would pull away. Using an amsteel whoopie sling and rubber coated hook off an old ratchet strap so far holding my 230# fat a** just fine.I’m using a ratchet strap around the post. Scored one of the $20 rests when I had all but given up hope...is replacing a different rest I had picked up. The other is steel and a bit bigger but works great just heavier, will see which I prefer. How much interest is there in these platforms? I'm in communication with the manufacturer about getting them wholesale. No pricing yet, but probably not worth it as they sell new for $99 so they are probably still out of our price range at wholesale. The $20 ones on eBay go quick.
Maybe some XOP offset brackets would help and you could just cam it over like I do on mine. It is amazing how well it works when you figure out how to cam them over and have the right pieces to the puzzle. It eliminates any issues with side loading for me too. Next on the list after SquirrelSteps and climbing stick brackets will be platform post brackets. Will be a few weeks away though before I have anything ready.
Need to find a source in China on Alibaba. When I built my cultipacker I could of saved a bunch of money if I was willing to buy a full crate. LolMight not be able to make these available as cheaply as I hoped. They indicated wholesale price might be around $50. I think these are a great deal at $20, but not so great if over $50 just for the platform. So, back to the drawing board and I'll have my machinist come up with something after he gets caught up on other stuff.
Mine had one small nick, maybe he works in quality control and gets the scrap ones.Maybe he works at the factory that makes them and takes some home with him once in awhile to sell????
Pic?feeling bummed....I got my foot rest today and it is the wrong one. I double checked and did buy the right one from ebay but it is not as pictured. I have a email into the sell hopefully he can make it right with the correct footrest.
This is what I recieved.Pic?
