Don’t know. But I think these original pins are glued in despite what customer service told me. They may have meant the o rings that keep them in when they are nested. So far punching these black ones out is not going well.

Yup and I had seen that video. Which is why I asked their customer service how to remove the pins and if they were glued in..

This is a great stick with some great features but this pin needs work.
The pin works great to hold them together but is a little bit of a pain to get everything to line up.
I plan to try only one on the top and one on the bottom of each stick to see if that holds them together and makes nesting together easier.
I hope Tethrd made these new orange pins out of different material because the ones they came with are way to brittle.
The more I use this stick the more I like it so if I have to I’ll turn new pins on the lathe from better material but hopefully the new pins are a fix.

I'll have to try with a different punch. What I had been using wasn't domed like they say, but not the flat one either. But it does look like mine had glue, not 100% sure yet. I am skeptical about it coming out like they show in the video. I'll report back once I can try again.

Not the one you were referring to but a vid from Tethrd.

I am sorry but this is ridiculous. If the pegs were meant to be a consumable/sacrificial part they would of never epoxied them in the first place. They would of snapped in and snapped put like the ones they are sending to replace them. Now that’s another frustrating part they are sending these redesigned pins in the box with new sticks because they obviously know it’s an issue but they are putting the onus on the customer to replace them instead of replacing them before they leave Tethrd. What if someone screws up their stick trying to remove these failed pins? Are they going to replace the stick? Highly doubt it. That’s a piss poor way to handle it...

Mine showed up with 3 broken pins right out of the box.

Got my one sticks yesterday. They are sending me replacement pins even though mine aren't broke. I tried them today and they are awesome in my opinion. I love they're versa button or whatever they call it. I did have some 7/64 amsteel so I made some new ropes. They are much better. Yea they are loud but what stick isnt out of the box? I give them a huge thumbs up. I wear a size 10 and weigh 200. I fix on them just fine.

So it looks like the new pins are two different lengths. Are they?
Yes, but so are the black pins that came with my sticks.

I tried replacing the black ones using the exact same tool and method in their video. Didn't work for me. One pin broke and looks to have been glued in. I hope other people have better luck than me. Certainly could have been operator error but their video is a bit misleading IMO.

Sure glad they delayed selling these now. If they would of been for sale right off the bat when they announced them I would probably own a set. Glad I don't now.

I don’t regret buying them, I can also speak for my two brothers also...between the 3 of us we have 18 one sticks and we love them. I have owned Beast sticks gen1,gen2 and mini beast sticks , leverage mini sticks, hawk sticks, shikar sticks, muddy pro gen 1 sticks , LWCG sticks and catalyst carbon pro sticks... I know there is others sticks out there but why even bother, these are the best sticks I have ever used. Yeah they may have a small issue with the pegs breaking but it’s not a big deal for me. Find what you like and go kill some critters.

If they stacked vertical I may have still considered them. I gotta have a vertical stack to work with my platform. Glad you like them hope they work out for you. I do like the rope lock I hope they make that for other sticks.
