So I’m not a huge fan of 3 step aiders. Wanting mainly a 2 step. Anyone ever notice if u have a 3 step aider but mostly setup for 2 step if the 3rd step gets in the way?
Thanks! But I mainly meant for climbing with sticks? Still think it wouldn’t get in the way?One sticking crappy trees sometimes I can only use 1 step of my 3 step aider. The other steps never really got in the way. I would rather not need it and have it than need it and not have it. Lots of situations before my one sticking days I wished I could get a little higher but ran out of sticks.
Yea I’m thinking backwoods mobile gear. Be nice to have 3 steps for the bottom stick but I don’t like 3 steps they seem less stable. So I’m thinking 2 step but like u said it’s nice to have it. Just wasn’t sure if the 3 step would hinder me if I only use it mainly as a 2 stepMoveable aider?

… andtight, quiet stacking makes them the better option for me.
Don’t know if you added the SSS system from G3D but man is it worth it. Took the short pins and put them on bottom as you no longer need the strength of the longer ones with the clips on top. Whole new world of easy.
I heard he has a better system in the works for stacking the one sticks. I never really had a problem with the pins. They were tight at first but after a little Vaseline and breaking them in… I like the pins.

Eastern Woods Outdoors has 7/64.More questions. I’m looking at going ahead and replacing the cheap knock off amsteel that comes with them.
When going to most of the previously recommended places to order (vital ground, RDA amsteel) they don’t seem to off the 7/64th that most people seem to recommend. Is there a reason for this? Or has anyone else found them in 7/64th? Thanks

So u went with 1/8th or 7/64 rope mods? It seems everyone was saying 7/64th was betterCarbon SS stick replacement ropes
These 1/8” rope mods are a direct replacement for the latitude carbon ss climbing sticks. The ropes are made out of 1/8” amsteel with a spliced loop on one end and a shrink raped stopper knot at the other end. We offer the in 2 colors black and orange. 100% USA madetimesaverropes.com
Shipping was free and the products are USA made. Couldn’t recommend anyone better than this guy.7/64”, 1/8” Amsteel tethered one/skeletor replacement ropes
7/64”, 1/8” rope mods or replacement ropes for the tethrd one/ skeletor sticks. Comes in 2 sizes 6’or 8’. All rope mods will come with and orange shock cord finished endtimesaverropes.com
I personally like the RDA guy myself. Have meet and talked to him before. Funny enough is I recognized his voice from his big stick comparison video. Only problem is I don’t see 7/64th rope mods on his website anymore.I like the RDA ropes. He puts a piece of shockcord on the end for easy packing and tidying up the rope on the tree so it ain’t flapping in the wind.
