Tethrd One Stick Gen 3's - Season review so far

Anyone know why they’re out of stock? Or is it just happen stance. Thanks.

They had been running the sale for a while and it is getting close to season so no surprise they sold out. They should have another batch before season I would think. I'm sure if ya call them and ask, they can give you a projected date.

It took me forever to pull the trigger on one sticks and ended up buying a set last year. They came in and I had 2 steps that were loose. Then a week later came the recall. This was the Gen 2 debacle and I ended up sending them back for a refund. I had pretty much given up on them and come back to SH after some time away and find the tune here has changed. Of course last week I decided to give it another go but missed the sale and are now out if stock. Guess I will give it until the next restock if it happens before the season starts.

Is the latest generation of One Stick using the glue or just the roll pin and new press fit end caps? I had to re-stealth strip one of mine and used a lot of alcohol to get the old stealth strip gunk off prior to reapplying. I hope that the alcohol didn't get inside the parts and on any "chemical weld" and weaken it.

I missed the sale as well. Been looking to get some more of them.

How much off were they??? Obviously they got cleaned out.

But it does also make me wonder if that may be an indicator of a Gen 4 on the horizon.

I got three for $300 instead of $350. Can't remember what a 4 pack cost.

So, I bought my one stick after last season ended and haven't actually hunted with it yet. I did some testing in spring and liked it. I took it back out for a spin yesterday and it just seems really noisy. Specifically when standing on the top. Sounds to me like metal on metal torquing between the step and the stick. anyone have tips on how to quiet it down?

earplugs

Jk. I hope it's not play in between the tube/step. Seemed like the standoffs sometimes would make noise until the finish wore down. Maybe rule that out first, call Tethrd if it persists. By design, there shouldn't be any metal parts rubbing.

I had the same thought about the tree, so I tried a few different trees with different bark. Same noise. but I guess I need someone to put their ear on the stick while I stand on it to be sure it is the stick vs the standoff on the tree.

Anyone know if the 3rd gen is still using the glue (since they went to the expanding end plugs)?

I have been pretty vocal and A huge sceptic of anything Tehthrd.
I want to support these guys I really do but, The problems they have had with several different products and the Marketing ploys they do just drives me bat crap crazy lol
I tried a few of their saddles and I am a big dude so they just don't work.
I tried the platform and was just really nervous on how it flexed.
I will say that this year, I have really heard good things on the gen 3 sticks and they have hopefully knocked it out of the ballpark with these.
I am really happy they are strting to get things in the right place with production and Quality control.
People who own them who I trust and know personally love them and swear buy them.
Who knows the Buck Psych may have to get his hands on a set one day lmao :sunglasses: :sunglasses: :sunglasses: :sunglasses:

I felt the same and then heard good things about the 3rd gen also.

I bought a set and I'm very happy with them. Of course, I haven't hunted with them yet.

It would be nice if there was a way to spray foam in the tubes like people would with the older ones. But I can’t see way to do it without drilling a hole in it which I’m not willing to do.

Mine are as quiet and as solid as my beast sticks. No issues at all.

If you have one making any noise at all, call Tethrd.

I love the weight savings, but they don’t bite the tree like beast sticks or eastern woods. Maybe I’m doing something wrong. No kickouts so far, so I’m gonna run them, but I’m still a little uneasy.
