Yea, I think that’s part of my problem. Anything made anywhere can have failures. I’ve just seen so much from China stuff. Heard some wild stories about what goes on in those factories and if half of it’s true it’s concerning. Could be said for about anything we use, not just hunting items. This isn’t even a finger at tethered, mainly China. Also not bashing the sticks. They’re hard to beat! I just like my compacts a lot too. Maybe I’ll just rotate them in and out idk haha
 
I posted my initial impression of the Gen3 One sticks. They may turn out to be crap, but for my first actual use, they were excellent. I own beast sticks, beast stick minis, Novix, lone wolf, hawks, skeletors, muddy, etc.. I really like the beast sticks, and they were my favorite. The Novix are not bad, like those too. But the weight of the Ones is incredible and they work great for me so far. I’m 6’2, 245 and wear a size 13, so I can stress most pieces of equipment. Everyone has opinions and experiences and I enjoy hearing different perspectives. So far I have been fortunate with my One sticks. I hope they continue to impress.

I appreciate the different opinions and feedback on gear on this forum. From some more than others. It is why we are here after all isn't it? Quest for the best, latest and greatest... To put together a hunting system that meets your own personal likes/dislikes. Opinions of others similar in stature to me based on their prior posts and the products they like that I may also have and like, might help me formulate an opinion whether or not to buy something else, as well as might save me the time and hassle of buying something I'm ultimately not going to like only to have to resell.

I can be as big a "gear horse" as the next guy but opinions shared will and have ultimately save me time buying what I know I'm not going not like.

I get what you’re saying and agree to some extent but it’s good to have the varying reports from different users gives us all a better idea of how the sticks truly are overall or on average. I appreciate all views and experiences so we don’t want to squelch that either. Personally I’ve been very happy with them sans the OG ropes they came with which I replaced with the RDA ropes specifically made for these and the skeletors. But I don’t ever want folks to stop being critical of gear we all pay good money for that doesnt perform over time and with hard use as advertised.
 
I was just on RDA website. In the rope mod photos, I noticed that he removed the rope containment button. The rope is just wrapped around the steps and bungeed to the dynalite button. Anyone tried this?

Those are gen1 sticks. They didn’t have the containment button. The containment button is the way to go
 
Was packing up my 4 sticks tonight after climbing down and noticed a wobble on a bottom step. I was in the middle of a swamp with deer around so didn’t spend of ton of time investigating. It wasn’t a millimeter wobble either, it was moving a bit. Looks like I’ll need to reach out as well.

It’s just frustrating as heck to have this happen in the middle of the rut. Up until this point I’ve had zero issues. I know they will take care of me so no worries there, it’s just a PITA.

You might could use it as the first stick on the tree until you get a replacement.

Which gen is your sticks? I’ve been debating on grabbing a set but hear all this wobble and what not.. makes me think I’m better off sticking with my EWO ultralights

I’ve been using mine a lot so far last half of last season and all of this season….. so far so good. I did upgrade to the RDA ropes though.
 
Looks like some are OK and some are not. Is it a design issue or quality issue, IDK.
Don't hate me but I was told that Toyota said that they cannot control the quality of products comming out of China. How is a small company going to?
