The best stick setup in MY opinion

Glad you found your ideal setup. I am still searching….

With that said I thought I was going to die the first time using the Shikar mini. I remember stepping into my aider…. the top standoff started pulling away from the tree and stick went sideways. That was immediately followed by me selling them and shipping them out of my life.

What were you using to strap them to the tree? I’m pretty curious because I’ve been considering going this route.

Yeesh. I needed to see this just a bit more than 13 h ago. Giving a mini a try as a 1-sticker, with and without a monarch top. Hope my experience goes better given what I paid. We'll see.
 
Are you running a 3 step aider on each mini?

I just picked up 4 locally with a 3 step aider. Guy was running a hook on the top and pulled the aider up as he ascended. Idk how he got down.

I would think rappelling and grabbing the minis on the descent would be a viable option if not running an aider on each.

@TNSTAAFL have you had a chance to tryout your shikar mini one sticking setup?
 
I love my Shikars as well. My setup is a little different tho. I have 4 regular length Shikars and I frequently use a knaider as opposed to having an aider on each step.
the Shikar sticks are incredible and I’ve never had any issue with kickout, standoffs sliding or turning or anything like that.

I have a shikar mini fixed stick with a 3 step aider that I one stick with. Works great . During winter bow I paired that with a preditor xl for long sits and comfortable to put on my boot insulators while in the tree. Shikat minis are a great choice

Stick hasn't arrived yet. Probably wouldn't be out anyway given the snow and temps in VT.

Probably late March before I can really give it a go. Looking forward to it, even if my mind and time is all wrapped up in 2TC & JRB climbing lately.
