Yea it’s similar to the old Japanese rope climbers. Weldabeast uses a system very very similar to this. It’s pretty neat and doesn’t require much gear to do

When you start selling these sladders it will be a big miss if you don’t call them slirrups. Just throwing that out there.Yes that is me. I call them stirrups... takes my weight off the ladder part of the system so I can raise the bottom and attach it above.

instead of an aider, they use sticks and stirrups. Instead of a separate tether, they tie theirs as they climb. This method is very efficient and light weightYou have a link to this?
Sladder System will be available soon. Weighing 1.4 lbs and the only metal is the Double J Hooks that are coated with Nylon. No additional aiders or line to purchase. It will come with 4 to 5 foot Amsteel Daisy chains on top and bottom. Extenders will be sold separately if you think you might climb bigger trees but they can be kept in your pouch so you don't have excessive line hanging unless you need it. It's very easy to climb around branches and limbs too. Additional videos to come soon.
Lol use a tree squeeze or do like weldabeast and use your tether as you climb. Same principle though. The truth is none of us are creating anything new, we are just offering our spin on existing ideas maybe tweaking the material used or a small safety portion but that’s why I love these different sticks and climbing methods and even saddles. It’s just different spins on old techniques and products. I like this ladder (sladder) idea as I used it a couple years ago until I grew more confident with rope techniques. Ladders are easy ways for tree stand guys to transition over. I applaud this and am looking forward to more videos on it. (I’ve been known to purchase items to support the cause, so keep me informed when it’s available)And only using a lineman’s belt. That can’t be OSHA approved.
The best is what is best for you. Som of us middle-aged guys are not comfortable on multi step aiders. At 1.4 Lbs. plus the repel down equipment estimating 2 lbs. is not any lighter than my 6 treehopper steps with aiders, at under 3 lbs. and it gets me 18 to 21 feet.

Just tell her you holler leap frog and keep goingHAHAHA my wife saw the clip over my shoulder and she said "If these guys jump over a climb, are you going to--nevermind, I'm going to tell you now. NO."

Is the J hook tied to the steps strap and used as a shackle on the daisy Chain? It's just a double J hook and an Amsteel Daisy Chain.
People have died using ladders too man you’re kidding yourself if you don’t think they have. People have died on climbing spikes, rope climbing and using climbing stands.Talks about people dying using this method... I don't think I wanna try this method!! LOL
