What did you do today that’s related to saddle hunting?

Trying to knock the rust off with shooting my bow. Going back to a thumb release. Just feel more comfortable with it overall. Took my nose button off. Maybe I just need the smaller one but I think it was messing my anchor up. Took it off and the Grim Reaper practice point is hitting right with my field points. Possibly try to get some tree practice in tomorrow. Cooler weather this week.

Follow up from the custom shoulder straps, added a Kifaru Tailgunner II. Came with no harness or belt. Used a couple existing sections of webbing which typically attach to a belt to affix it to the OOAL Hush. Will move it up one section of aluminum to expose the outer edge, but has about 1000 cu in of volume so will fit essentials and be able to strap gear on easily with a grab it. Time will tell how this setup works out.

Got my kids in the saddle at ground level this weekend. They're 5 and 2. Planning to take the 5 year old for his first deer hunts this year but we'll be in the blind. They absolutely loved swinging around in the saddle though. Nothing better than hearing my little 2 year old saying this is how she'll hunt with daddy.

Got this cheap bow sling in from Amazon today. It’ll work good on climbing sticks…

re-tied my climbing/tether hitch. JRB put out another variant to his hitch. Mostly it keeps it from tightening over time. I like the ease at which one may switch from soft bridge mode to a longer tail.
