What did you do today?

Wife just gave birth to our wonderful baby girl. Before we were admitted to the delivery wing of the hospital, the guard told us to leave, come back after we got enough provision for 3-5 days worth stay. Because they were going to test my wife for Covid as soon as she is admitted. If she is positive (she was not, thank god), I can not leave the hospital or else I would not be able to come back. This was very serious due to most of the moms coming in having Covid. I felt really bad for a dad that was sitting next to me in the waiting room. I was waiting because my wife was getting her epidural, but he was going to miss the birth of his child because he did not remember the policy and left to get lunch. Another dad was kick out soon after the birth because wife has Covid and developed a fever and baby had Covid and was placed in NICU just in case of issues. Thank god both my wife and baby are healthy, hospital literally try discharged us ASAP once all the baby tests were taken. We left hospital less than 24hrs after birth, which I agree with.

Welcome to this crazy world Mindy Docia

Congrats on your beautiful baby girl. I was lucky when my last grand daughter was born. It was February of 2020 just before they started to not let visitors in.

Congratulations on the arrival of your daughter.

What we all want to know is whether you'll be teaching her to 1-stick or 2TC first and what brand of saddle have you ordered for her? :tearsofjoy:

Oldest son is solidly in the SRT camp, I'm going to get girls a set of sticks so they can all have one. I got a lot of mouths to feed, so everyone is getting a fleece and RCH!

Glad that I have enough carabiners for whole family!

But Father-in-law has 10/22 for each of them already....it must be nice to have grandkids you can use as excuse to buy guns.....

My project has taken time but I cut my aluminum.
Made myself a friction device.

On a side note I was on Pirates of Archery for a spell.

You got it. This isn't my original idea but I did have to draft my own.

Yes, it works. Very well.Screenshot_20220115-091109_Gallery.jpgScreenshot_20220115-091927_Gallery.jpg

My foot is the tree. Its upside-down

Dang, Double post. Sorry.

It would be easier to make a 3 pc like the one pictured in wesspur..

Closed on a half acre lot to build a house yesterday. Under contract for .6 acres adjacent to it as well

Edit: And when I say build a house I mean like with my own two hands. Probably not gonna get to hunt much in 2023

I'm really starting to get into the idea of filming my hunts or more accurately, filming wildlife on the odd chance that I may actually film a kill. So far,
1. I think my cellphone can handle 99% of the filming plus it's waterproof
2. Not counting the cellphone, I've spent $27 on this adventure so far for a better film app
3. A chest harness for anytime not in the tree will cost about $30 including shipping
4. A camera arm will be spendy but compared to what I spent on saddle gear last year, it barely registers:tearsofjoy:

Biggest hurdle so far has been to get the videos off the iphone and onto my linux machine which I finally got working. I also found video editing software that actually works (read as I can actually figure out how to work it).

Aside from the yet-to-be-purchased camera arm, this project has been cheap which is always a good thing. With everything we see in the woods, it'll be fun to capture and share those things plus will keep me occupied during the long periods of not seeing deer.
