Called in 2 big gobblers they hung up at 75yds , my daughter is 16 (last year to youth hunt, until grandkids) she about stroked out. She got to see them fanned up & hear them spit & drum. It took 3 setups to get to that point, but we were in them & had a blast. Staying at the cabin gonna give it another run tomorrow morning.

Good deal! My older son is too old and my younger son isn't quit ready for turkeys so I was working on the honey do list today. But me, my dad and my son be chasing them next weekend. Good luck tomorrow!

The Governor has banned the use of motorized boats. Apparently there has been a lot of congestion at launches and excessive travel to fishing locations given that we are under a stay at home order. That's the reason given. I could take the canoe down to the lake if I really wanted to fish badly enough but I spent yesterday out shed hunting and turkey scouting (more entertaining for me). So far our turkey season has been unaffected (knock on wood) as long as you don't have to commute a long ways to get to your area.

I know exactly how you feel. The state logged my favorite area a couple of years ago. I lost at least 10 trees I used to sit in and and have killed deer out of. It still depresses me to think about it. The good news is that the new young growth has provided secure habitat for the bucks and we're seeing some of the benefit of that hunting the edges.

Watched Easter service on YouTube. Shot recurves with my probable future son in law. I think I converted him as I then helped him pick out the wood for the bow he wants my father to build him. Ate an excellent Easter dinner and then went metal detecting along the creek with my ten year old until he got bored and we skipped rocks. All in all a great day. Only negative is reverse quit working on my 4 wheeler but, I'll save that problem for another day.

So I belong to a neighbor app.
People report lost dogs or theft, help was wanted, handyman and the like.
A guy posted " met new neighbors ".
He said he was sitting in front of his house and a woman walking her dog said hello.
She said," welcome to the neighborhood, how long have you been living here?"
He said going on three years.
Too funny.
When we were kids we knew most people on the block not just our side.
If I didn't get home in time for dinner some neighbor kid would be eating over and I would be frying and egg. Ha ha.

Haha! I was practically raised by other parents. I can't count on two hands the amount of times I remember eating dinner at home. I was usually at a neighbors house.
