Shooting to your offside hip with platform....

Hey guys - Long time no see - what's up! I have a random question for you guys and I know that you'll be able to shed some light on it..... I was reading a post where someone said that on their platform, if they need to make a shot towards their offside hip, they just stand up and turn on...

Couple more down in the suburbs with the Kestrel (video)

Hey guys - Thought you might enjoy this video of another urban harvest with the kestrel... So far I'm loving this thing. As most of y'all know, I've been doing the dangle since 2008, but after about 45-50 hunts in the Kestrel (and over 20 harvests), I'm sold. By far the best saddle system I've...

Tie in Height in relation to sitting or leaning

Hi guys - I've been hunting out of a saddle for years. I love it, and don't see myself ever being able to NOT hunt from a saddle... I'm curious. Where do you guys tie in? I'm a sitter. I find that having my bridge around 24" (I'm assuming that's how long I like it. I haven't measured but I...

    Platforms vs. steps

So I'm curious, how many of you guys are using a platform now instead of steps? For those of you that are using a platform, do you set up steps also when using this method? Or just rely on the platform to cover as much area as you need to shoot from? I have an Ernie platform that I put...

    Canon G20 Settings

For those of you that are running the g20 to self film, what frame rate have you found to be the best? I'm thinking the 60i in MXP would be best, but I'm worried about slow motion on an arrow with interlaced frames. Any input would be helpful! Thanks!!

Self filmers - what's your camera arm location?

Hi guys - curious as to where you put your camera arm on the tree when you're hunting. I've always put it to the right of my bridge, but I'm thinking its better suited on the left (if you're looking at the tree) to allow easier coverage of the intended shooting area. Looking forward to your...

    Dynamic line instead of static?

Has anyone ever thought about using dynamic line for a bridge or their tree tether? It seems like a dynamic line might allow there to be some absorption while you sit, almost acting like a shock. On the other hand once we're set in the tree, I don't think we want any stretch on our lines...

    Sit? Stand? Combo?

What do you guys find most comfortable? Sitting? Standing? Switching between the two? I like to be as still as possible in the woods and slowly scan back and forth for movement. I find I'm most comfortable in the evolution while standing up fully reclined back - however - after 2/3/4 days of...

When do you maneuver in your saddle?

One of the things that I have found in the last couple years of saddle hunting, was that with the new found ability to move all around the tree to shoot deer, I kept getting busted. I later realized it was because I was trying to move into position when the deer were 40-50 yards out anticipating...

Finally took some time to really make a ton of adjustments today.... finally found the sweet spot in my saddle. I had it before in the aero, but for some reason it was harder to find in the evo... anyways, I'M BACK! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A3vlj8mUiPA Heard this on the radio while...

    New Tribe Evo Adjistments...

Hey guys - How did you find the optimal "sweet spot" in your evo? What strap did you start with first and then move to? And where did they all end up? On a side note - do you like the main belt to hold your back kinda straight up? or leaning back at an angle?

Tips to keep from getting busted....

Hey guys - I seem to keep getting busted more than normal in my saddle. Do you guys have any tips or suggestions to prevent this? I always try to set up to the 6:00 - 8:00 of where I expect to see the deer, and have steps to accommodate any possible shots. I feel that in the saddle, I need...

How high up do you hunt?

So guys, I'm curious what your normal height off the ground is that you like to be in the saddle. Obviously when a tree has a fork in it or a good split that's where you want to be, but let's say for arguments sake this is just a straight tree. What's your optimal height?
