LWCG stand setups

I've been using the Popup as a hauler. No straps on my stand to flop in the wind. Just pull up the stand with a rope. Or make a second trip up.
 
Anyone find j hooks awesome and super secure but also slow as crap? What else are you guys going to strap your sticks to your stands. I have lwcg compacts

I cut some of the hook off the J hooks but those threads are so small that they still suck. I mainly use the J-hooks on my 17" sticks and .5 because everything fits well on the load shelf of my Kifaru pack with 2 17" on each side of the .5

If I'm using my doubles or full sticks the Voile straps are the ticket. Mine are a little long but they make no noise, fast, and secure.
Not the best pics but I use one to keep my sticks together and one around the sticks and stand.

Ordered a set! I feel like the j hooks are so secure but I bet they add a good 5 minutes. Between undoing them, finding them in my pocket, and trying to put them on quietly. Really wanting to streamline my setup and tear down time this year.
 
There are two types of shoulder straps, there are the straps that come with stands and then there are the straps you really want. The new LWCG straps are “nice” for OEM straps, but still not the straps you really want. Will they suffice, sure. Would they be what I would pick with all the options available, No.

This is much better then my bungee straps. Gonna order a few to carry my DIY sticks on .5

Re-reading through this thread. Man there’s some good stuff in here. Adding a few things to my wish list for sure! Need to try a extended sidekick. Even considered the little quiver thing. Need some heat shrink.
 
Just used a simple cam strap to strap my sticks down. I tried over complicating this in my head for sure. Sometimes a product can take you away from what really works. One less thing I need to worry about too

Thanks, I am looking at the TX5 system.
May wait to see what the new LWCG system looks like.
Any thoughts on the TX5?

I have those same Voile straps, though I don't use them with the .5.

I'm perfectly happy with J-hooks for the compact sticks. I don't find them difficult.

But I agree that LWCG doubles mate so easily. With my Seek Outside Revolution frame and Merlin talon, no fasters are needed with them.

Still like the compacts w/ cable aiders, but I'm gonna mess around with Shikars as well, so we'll see.

I have the new LWCG shoulder straps and had both previous generations and both generations of the TX5 if that makes my statement more clear.
