LWCG stand setups

What are “small” things you guys are doing to maximize your setups!?!?

Just spend more time than I’d like to admit attaching 1/16” bungee to the ends of my cam buckles so I can shorten the slack when attachend to my stand or attaching stuff to my stuff during transit.

Also cut every other loop out of my Tethrd Hys strap. Cut the bulk down 40% I’d say. Hoping this doesn’t cause a total failure but it shouldn’t.

I attach things inside of my pack to the outside so i don’t have to fish for anything.

I abandoned my hys strap this year going with the Innovating the outdoors runt.

Little things to make life easier writing on one side of the strap to know if it’s twisted around the tree.

Run a piece of shockcord through the end of my cam strap to tiddy it up.

Anyone else using the foot rests on .5? Picked up a set earlier this summer off here and think I’ll install tomorrow and tinker a bit.

Also gotta cut a different seat for more comfort before season

You still using the extended bow holder?

Trying to decide if it is worth getting or not.

Anyone using the sidekick with a Trad bow?
I’ve been shooting out of my stand, but haven’t figured out how to use the SK with my recurve.
I saw pictures of Cody from LWCG using one with his trad bow, but mine seems to want only want to sit horizontal.

Added the foot rests today. Added extra cushion for seat which made the height of seat perfect for me.

Gotta play with shoulder straps a bit. Also need to figure out how I’m gonna stack my DIY beast sticks.

I have a Wolf pack. Do not like the factory buckles attaching the bottom of the pack to the stand. I am trying some different methods that don't compress the pack. Not sure if this is the best way. Also added paracord tie off at the top.
Anybody else have any ideas?Screenshot_20230723_150609_Gallery.jpgScreenshot_20230723_150557_Gallery.jpg

This is how I run mine. Just a cheapo biner I modified into a hook with shockcord tied to one of the loops. Just hooks to a rung and tuck it away when not in use.

Why are you trying to avoid compressing the pack? Why are you tying it off at the top?

I tied the top to keep the pack loop from sliding off the stand hook.
I don't want to compress my pack because.
Sometimes during my hike I may need to stop, take off the stand and access my pack. Remove or add mid layers or acess rain gear or whatever.

Unless you really reefed down on the compression straps all you'd have to do there is quick undo the buckle and snap it back shut when done. I'd rather have the ability to compress and not need it personally, but everybody's priorities are a little different with this stuff so I get it if that's still more hassle than you want to have.

The bottom of the pack has a solid bottom. Also their is a divider in the bottom that I don't want to crush.
Or it could be I dont want to crush my Ding Dong.

Just got my new to me .5 stealth stripped and the Kifaru Organizer Pouch installed under the seat last night. Still need to strip my 3 singles and then I’m ready to go.

The organizer pouch I attached by feeding the 3 bar sliders through the seat and then running Velcro strips through the 3 bar slider and around the seat frame. It’s about as big as I’d want to put under the standard .5 seat but when I’m sitting it’s not in the way at all, and it’s got good organization inside for buckleless cam straps, dewclaw gear hanger, etc 3EC044DF-1756-4ABA-86DB-B16233C46C72.png

Curious is everyone who’s running foot rests is glad they added them?

Also wondering how you are attaching your compact sticks. I find the JHooks work great but don’t like running them (and looking for them in the leaves, etc)

Shove the jhooks under your seat cushion when not in use

Spray paint them with blaze orange paint. I am using the full length sticks and titan straps they did not work well for me. I need the j hooks for the long sticks.

Ditch em and use your cam strap. I got tired of the j hooks. Will keep them around but gonna try just a single cam strap. I’m testing it worked great. Over thought this part of my setup for sure

I like the foot rests so far. Have played around a bit with stand since adding them and they do give ya slightly more room.
