Most disappointing products you bought

Mine would be any hang - on - stand. Bought a new XOP for places my climber would not work. It's an awesome looking stand and light but how anybody can haul one up a tree and hang it is beyond me. I'll stick to my Wraptor or Summit. Anyone want a brand new one??

I figured it out!!!

Scanning through broadcast TV, I came across Tour of Duty and the theme song is no longer Paint it Black.

My tax dollars are paying for a supreme ‘80’s TV show and I don’t get a Rolling Stones theme song ?!?

Please don't bash companies and keep it civil, but curious what stuff you bought over the years really let you down. Anything hunting related.
Bought a pair of Gumleaf boots which run double the cost of any other rubber boot on the market, and not even 2 years later the right boot leaks like a sive. There's no hole in the boot. Seems like the glue failed. What about you guys
This is easy. Lighted nocks, but I keep buying them….

That’s funny I’ve been bowhunting since the early 1980’s and have never had a need or desire for lighted bucks. I know many use them, I think a lot of guys like to film so the shot shows up better. They just seem very gadgety to me but I’ve been known to like some gadgets myself too. I get it.

Sirius arrows….. arrows are not the quality Sirius clams they are. Out of 12 arrows only 3-4 spin true. That’s the orions. Also bought the Apollo and the spine wasn’t consistent. Really wanted to like them because they have good gpi to get higher foc with longer draw lengths. Other companies do a much better job with flagship arrows.

I like em when they work, but you can pretty much guarantee one out of every pkg of three is not going to work, and they need replaced yearly.

I saw this on one of the Facebook groups and figured this was a good spot for it…:D:D:D

Yeah, you roasted me.

I pointed that issue out in my initial thoughts about them.

I really like my LWCG compacts for how they pack, standoff distance, how they mate to my .5, how sturdy they are on the tree, how nice they pair with cable aiders, how well those cable aiders work. I've had two feet on top of a stick often, and like that I can. Not much I don't like about them.

But, I ordered one TN C1 to try out. I was impressed enough to place an order for a full set to try.

Probably the biggest strike against them in my book is that packed in a single stack, they make a tall pile.

The steps did wiggle due to tolerances, (I'm supposing this is no different from what's been reported about EWO steps on LW tubes). Nonetheless, they didn't make any noise in so doing. Nada.

I don't understand why the bolts aren't longer, they don't come flush to the edge of their mating surface.

I didn't feel uncomfortable or unsafe standing on them. I was surprised by that. I was ok with tip toe orientation...tried duck foot, that ain't happening. I haven't put them through the paces so to speak, so this is just my initial impression.

Wet, different boots, crooked trees...I'll find out when the rest of the sticks arrive. I did try the stick on a couple small and medium trees and one where I maxed out the rope. My sense of footing didn't change.

I didn't put the cable aider on yet. I just see everyone struggle a bit with these TN aiders, and am thinking a versa aider may be the ticket here. I have one, so we'll see.

With these light sticks and a rope, they seem to stay in place great while you tie them off. There isn't any sag once counter pressure is applied, so it's not far off from the performance of a cleat.

They stuck to the trees I put them on for those who feel that's a matter of validation; they felt locked in which cuts it for me.

I'll try some more trees tomorrow with the one stick that I have.

Plenty of nice options. I'm not anointing TN as the greatest climbing stick, but I've found them worth a better look.

Which one? Still have it?

I don’t think I’ve ever bought anything over $25 that I was seriously disappointed with and I can afford to take a $25 loss without losing sleep over it. I shop pretty carefully and generally buy quality gear. Sometimes I purposefully buy cheap gear but my expectations are set accordingly, so premature failure is not really a disappointment, but somewhat of an expectation. Sometimes that cheap gear exceeds expections, maybe because my expectations were set low to begin with. For example, I bought an Alps Little Bear fanny with the Turkey Pockets/game bag kit to see how I liked that type setup. Cost me about $55. Expectation was two seasons at most and I just finished my second season and it still going strong so I’m suitably impressed and I will be using it again next year.

Wasn't a this year purchase but I was extremely disappointed in the Allen hoist I bought a few years ago. Went back to a coil of amsteel because I had extra and haven't found a better replacement yet
