Do we want to talk Black Friday sales for Kifaru DL and Stryker XL, please.

Well you want to come up with justifications for overpriced over hyped kifaru soooo…yea. Considering greedy Aron Snyder doubled the cost of all the kifaru crap over the past 4 years.

First off, I'm not in one camp or another. I'm just saying there is a lot more in common between Exo and Kifaru than not. From design to pricing.

Saying a comparable Exo setup is half the price of Kifaru is farce. And arguing your slant with an onx code is a joke.

Claiming kifaru has all their trash on sale at 15% off all the time is pretty dumb also.

I posted that info on the Kifaru because I did not like the way they packed a tree stand. When I used my Kifaru with my EDP, I packed the EDP up high between the frame and pack. It made the pack very top heavy for me. I did not like the way it carried and the pack is too noisy for me to take up a tree.
Sine that time I have come to the Light, the LWCG .75. Saves me weight and packs my stuff better.

I have a Stryker and I’ve never understood why people pack stands in the shelf. A .75 stand is 8 pounds. Just run a strap from the frame and the strap the stand to the outside of the pack, midline. Packs wonderfully and you don’t have the overhead clearance issue.

Partially why I opted for the Sherman pocket. I used it on the Kuiu pack I had before the pack I have now but for the reason of carrying a full size stand in without it sticking up to high or hanging to low. Works great on the kifaru pack for the same purpose.

I prefer the stand close to the frame. With all the loops on the frame I would just lash the stand to the frame with ladder lock straps and hang/strap a bag on the stand. Personally.

The Stryker shelf is perfect for a platform though.

I've spoken to the inventor of these. Just a local guy here in MI with a great idea!

A comparable Exo K4 setup is NOT half the price.

A K4 frame and 2200 pack is $639 whilst a Duplex Lite and Stryker XL are $775. That's without the sale pricing we often see from Kifaru.

Kifaru literally just ran a 15% off sale on the Crossover package, so it was had for what, $985. That package included a lot more than a frame and a pack.

I have that set up and got it all for $650 on here last year, to add a camp bag would be in that price range so I personally didn’t think the crossover kit was super over priced either for the quality. My whole issue with all these systems though, all of them built to military standards is how noisy they are. How are you guys dealing with that getting in close and setting up???

I think when you bust brush, it's generally noisy. Setting up is generally noisy. To get to some spots and hunt how I want, I simply accept that I need the advantages of a frame system, noise be damned.

So, maybe I would choose to hunt atop doe bedding during rut when it may not matter if I sent them running, or perhaps I would choose a tree a bit further from buck bedding on a travel lane, or maybe I'd hunt pure transition, or just get in and set up extra early. It's situational, and surely there's failures.

You can add a fleece pack-cover to quiet things brushing up against cordura, but it's kind of lipstick on a pig imo with all the other noise a person makes.

When you say they are noisy, what specific noise are you referring too?
