17”Nice. What length sticks?
I have a couple of aiders I am going to try out.
I made this one with 7/64 Amsteel and a washing machine hose. Adds 2oz per stick and ~20” in height.

Then I ordered these two from backwoods mobile.
The two step I am going to try to use for one sticking.
The other aider is a CAYG/Swaider type.

After watching this thread with interest, I opted for some of these also. I have the LWCG minis paired with these cable aiders, and I agree with @skyjacker that these are the best aider option I have personally tried to date.I bought the LWCG Cable Aiders. They are legit. They pair really well with the SHIKARS. Adds a 17 inch step to each stick. When stacking them together it will add an inch to the total length because of the metal connectors. With a 24 inch step between sticks this setup will get you to roughly 21 ft to platform. Total weight for one stick with a Tethrd Versa mini and a LWCG Cable Aider is 1.91 lbs.
I just ordered these frm LWCG for my Shikar, mainly because the are permanently attached. Don't have to worry about losing my webbing aider in the dark.I bought the LWCG Cable Aiders. They are legit. I deal with cables all the time (garage door tech here) I can easily make those cable aiders. I may have to play around some.
I have two questions for those who have the LWCG cables. What is the length in inches of the cable end to end and what is the bolt that holds them on? Is it a grade 8 1/4'' x 20 or something? I can always figure that out too. But the length of the cable would be helpful.
Also does the cable hurt your foot at all when using it as step compared to tubular webbing ?
I believe the bolts on the LWCG sticks are 5/16”. I’ve been having trouble finding swag eyes to crimp on 1/8” wire.
