Team 11 thread

Warm, wet, and humid here in Michigan. Not that I am opposed to sitting in rain. Just not the first weekend in October. Don't plan on hunting to much around here unless it cools off some. Other than that will go sit with my son in the little blind behind my parents house. He is 6 and wants to go hunting. So trying to keep him interested. Had him shoot the xbow some this summer. But not putting arrows close enough on the target yet. Don't want to make for a bad experience. He's got a lot of energy. So he makes me a little nervous.

Some of the best advice I ever received was to take them hunting every time they want to go and leave as soon as they say they’re done especially when they are that young. Make memories while you can!

I pulled the card from a camera I have up on the hill behind my house and found I've got another bear roaming around which is awesome. Rest of the pics were does, a few coyotes and my dumbass neighbor on his quad. Going to hunt up there tomorrow in the afternoon till dark and see if I can let an arrow fly.
Sunday I'm heading to PA to move a cell cam and do some scouting since there's no hunting on Sunday's there . My buddy showed me some picks of the bucks in the area and WOW!!
What part of PA are you coming to

Small world. That's where I grew up and also lease land every year. Let me know if you need any help with anything.

It’s a nice calm morning here in NWA. Wind and temps are perfect for the spot I’m in. Now I just need the deer to cooperate.

Hunting a travel route on the hill behind my house tight to the property line, find the posted sign. Have some heavy fog rolling through ans saw one coyote but I didn't have a clear shot.
Gonna jump to PA this afternoon and hunt till dark.

That is a little tight to the property line, eliminates guessing yardage though

Had a beautiful sit in PA yesterday.

Weather was great and I was set up in a transition between a stream bottom lined with huge old growth pines below me and open hardwoods consisting of oaks and hickories above me. Young evergreens separated the two areas and where I was located there was a small opening within the evergreens that had white oaks dropping acorns. During my initial scouting I found a few game trails crossing through here and a small fresh rub line entering this location from below. I got up a white oak that had good cover from the surrounding trees at 3pm and at 5:50 an 8 point came in from below. I shot while he was walking at 23 yards and hit liver. He only went 12 yards after the hit and stood there for over 10 minutes. I watched him walk out of sight behind a few trees before coming back into sight a few minutes later and laid down. I packed him out and finally got to my vehicle completely exhausted at 9:30 and was home by 11:15.

That location is so far back that there's no cell service so I couldn't send out pics to keep you guys updated.
