"The official saddle hunting backpack thread"

Badlands pursuit, four custom sticks with aiders, predator platform. Amsteel for everything (picture was before I added Amsteel Daisy chains and aiders) 11.39 lbs. Not sure I can get much better than that.

Anyone have any experience with this pack. Looks perfect for the predator in the outside flap.

Ive never seen a superday in person but i own a MR Treehouse, i dont think it would be noticeable because the treehouse maintains its shape full or empty whereas the superday looks like it can be compressed down when not loaded. Hopefully someone who has owned both can chime in.

I have a superday. Also had a treehouse...

I didn’t like how structured the Treehouse was and it was a little narrow to fit my predator in if I remember correctly. The material is a bit loud also.

The superday is the average bag. I like that’s it’s hydration compatible and has the boot which should help carry sticks. The zippers absolutely suck though. I plan on using it as my scouting pack.

i have my predator in the front pocket of the treehouse and it fits really good there

I used it when I had my predator. It’s a good bag, but sold it when I sold the predator.

Really liked it. Just didn’t work for me after changing my setup.

Does anybody know if a Horn Hunter G2 or G3 daypack can be used with the Full Curl frame? I’ve seen a vid where they have these models and attach them, but the bags they are using have no waist belts like the G2/3 daypacks. TIA

Thanks for the info. How did it accommodate sticks?

It didn’t. I had some LW shorties (17”) that I carried once under the predator horizontally but the weight distribution was too much IMO for the beaver tail to be comfortable for a long walk. Longer sticks might be more unstable.

It does have Molle on the underside as well as the sides you might be able to use. If used on the side the bottle holders will be of no use. There are no side compression straps or bedroll straps so you’d have to supply your own.

have you seen the full curl lite though? it's on youtube. maybe it is the vid you are referring to. I have a regular g3, and it would need to be modified to go on a frame.

I hog hunted all weekend to tune up my system .......again. I have been using the voodoo tactical pack for years with Lone Wolf sticks, but I just switched to WEI steps to save bulk so I switched back to my x2 pack to hold my hydration bladder, and all of my gear in one pack. I have changed up a few things in my routine and I think I will be sticking with the X2 pack this year. The MR divide is running a close second. I wish the X2 was as comfortable as the MR divide though

Ok guys........ My pack addiction got the better of me today and I think I might have just found my “Unicorn”. I just recently switched to the WEI steps and perch. I hunted the perch for the first time this past weekend and was pleasantly surprised at how well it worked out for me. I will say that I am a huge badlands fan through and through, because of their warranty, but I picked up a cabelas elite pack today and I think it will be the best fit for my wild edge setup. The quality of the pack is pretty good, and it seems to be the perfect size for me. I can fit my 3l hydration bladder inside and my saddle, knee pads, 50’ rappelling rope, thermacell, ozonics, and the outside pouch holds 7 WEI steps and perch perfectly. It is fleece outside, quiet, and has a rainfly, blaze orange panel, and reverse tightening waist belt.

Cabela’s elite scout pack in true timber camo. The other pattern they had was not fleece.
