I don't even pay attention to upcoming saddles anymore. Cruzr XC has everything I ever wanted from a saddle. The holy Grail and Cadillac

Plenty of Cruzr fans. I'm sure it's a great saddle.

What gets me is when I look at it, I think if I studied it for a few days and watched some sewing videos and had a decent machine, I could eventually put a comparable saddle together.

There's other saddles that are just mastercraft in comparison, imo.

I don't know how how it rates against motor vehicles, honestly. Carfax rates Kia's Telluride as most comfortable 3 row SUV. Idk.

I sold my Cruzr a few months ago because I wanted to try several other saddles before season started this year. I tried 3 different kind and I kept the TX5 Lonestar, pleated full fabric saddle. It’s nearly as comfortable as the Cruzr, but I think it’ll be a good mid-late season saddle due to the full fabric being warmer.

But I ended up and bought another Cruzr because out of all the saddles I tried, it was still the most comfortable. I still want to try a Woods, Legend and the new Tethrd lockdown.

Thanks for the options folks. I wish there was a way to try a couple before I bought one.

That show is coming up in Chattanooga. I'm from MI so guessing, but that's getting to be about 2.5-3 hours drive for you but there's some awesome people going if you could make it ( I have family in Calhoun )

I’ve been thinking about going. I know it’s going to be the best way for me to get hands on them. The last list I saw didn’t have Overwatch or Wood attending. I really want to look at their saddles. I also want to look at the CGM.

Check the member map or put out a thread to see if there's someone nearby. If there is they might be willing to meet up and let you try their stuff. Saddles are so personal/subjective it's great if you can get hands on! I'd also consider reaching out to the saddle makers, especially some of the smaller companies. They're good people. They'll answer questions honestly, they want you to be happy too

Another vote for TX5. I prefer the XPD pleated seat. Second place would be a TX5 with the stretch seat.

Come to the light, the JX3 tree saddle light..............
Don't be afraid, you will sit from dark to dark very comfortably, no fidgeting, be able to snooze when you want, no dreaded hip pinch, no back aches, you can shoot 360° around the tree with any weapon, bow or gun, no weak side shot.
No platform required, only a ROS, or a JX3 wide top climbing stick, no sore feet, no knee pads required, no sore knees, no tired legs from leaning as you can sit all day, built in pack frame for carrying all your needs. No getting into “saddle shape” as your Lazy Boy at home does it for you. Buy once, cry once.
Come to the light, the JX3 light...........

Honest question, not being a smart a$$. Why would I buy a JX3 instead of a hang on? The JX3 is 11.5 lbs, JX3 sticks are over 9.5 lbs for the set. That puts me at 21lbs+. If I buy lighter sticks I may get it to 19. I can do a Hawk Helium setup for way less $ and be more comfortable.

I won’t hunt longer than 4 hrs at a time. I’m just not sure the JX3 is conducive to my style of run and gun hunting. I do like the heck out of the concept, and I may try it out. But, 20lbs on my back is not why I started using a saddle. If that were the case I’d still be using a summit sentry.

I forgot I take the kids to Dollywood every summer. I’ll try and swing by your shop while I’m up that way.

The comfort can't be matched, and you will start hunting longer than 4 hrs.
I have tried a climber and did not think the level of noise was conducive to a quiet entry, the JX3 can be much quieter.
I single stick with the JX3 wide top stick so you could cut down the weight, no ROS needed
Anyone I have personally let use and converted to the JX3 has never gone back to their old style of hunting whether it was run and gun or all day sits, with a conventional stand.
YMMV.

Don't go to the light, it is a _____.
At 12lbs plus a ring of steps, linesman, tether and climbing method.
Try taking a pee using that set up!
