    Multi pin vs one pin

I like my single pin but there are times when I wish I had a 2 or 3 pin slider... I've had to sneak to adjust the sight a couple times when a deer was right near... I definitely like it more than a 5 pin though

Can we start a communal turkey feathers collection/market thread?

I keep my left wing primaries for arrows... if you want my right wings, PM me... you can have them for cost of shipping.

    Climbing stick attachments

Agreed here... I made my USAs but same comments apply. Fully disclosure, I've never tried daisy chains but I'm good with my setup for now. Only thing I'm considering is dropping the aiders and just carrying in more sticks... I've got 6 beast minis and 6lbs isn't a huge difference when the...

    Mobile Cold Weather Clothing

So i bow hunt MN so I hunt mid Sept through the end of the year. Early Season can be in the low 80's late season in the teens. FL's corrugate guide pants and jacket are pretty much always on me on my walk in with either no insulation or as much as the kiln plus the furnace merino wool layers...

    Packing Out Meat Advice

I did my first gutless approach this year with a hooked blade and I gotta say, I wasn't a fan... the hook was finicky more than half the time snagging but also experience a lot of hair like you did... if I do gutless again, I'm just doing a conventional blade cutting out the whole time...

    What's everyone's favorite aiders.

I made some amsteel ones for my beast sticks.. zero complaints...obviously nothing is perfect but essentially for the price of buying a set of USA attachments, I got all the amsteel and tools needed to build my own USAs and 3 2 step aiders... pretty easy actually once you fiddle with em a bit...

New to the saddle game.. questions?

Method 2 is an awesome saddle and latitudes pouches are pretty good. If you're in the upper Midwest, Scheels now has the Method 2, pouches, and the tethers and LB...

Using MR Pop-up to carry sticks and platform?

Platform in the meat shelf... beast minis even give my pack a little stand so it doesn't fall over

heads up/mini rant, not ordering from treestuff.com again

Yeah, that's BS. And I agree in Basspro and Cabelas... I knew back when Basspro announced they were acquiring Cabelas, I would never be a regular customer of Cabelas again.

Help me figure out which sticks to get

I'd tend to agree with antirain above... if you're going budget budget, I'd go hawk heliums... next step up I'd probably go with those Trophylines or Tethrd Skeletors even though I'm more of a no moving parts guy... I current run Beast Minis and don't plan on switching anytime soon

    DIY one step aiders

1/8 amsteel with 1/2 rubber hose worked great for me

    Hunting boot help!

I've actually just got to light hikers for early season (Merrell Moab 2's) and my snow shoveling boots for when it gets cold ( Boggs Bozemans)... they wouldn't be any good for mountains but for hiking the majority of the Driftless region of MN, they work just fine.

Possessions that just get better and better; Defying the law of diminishing returns

Ooo... love the idea for this thread... 1. My bow... Matthew vertix... 2. My truck... 2014 F150 ecoboost... the older it gets the less I care about how it looks or how many napkins my wife has jammed in the glovebox.... also the more I just like the fact that I have it. 3. My woodworking...

Interests or hobbies you couldn't care less about.

Shopping.... I CAN'T STAND the process of looking for clothing.... I really don't care about the clothing I wear day to day, though I can appreciate the utility of specific cloths... nice pair of these Wrangler Dad shorts( I don't know what they're called but they're light and stretchy and...

    Friction Hitch Safety Diameter

Buy a new cord... that's not a big enough difference in diameter.... you want the diameter at most 75% the diameter of you tether or LB or whatever... check out doublesteps.com... you can buy custom lengths

Best friction hitch for climbing and set?

I also run 9mm line w/ 6mm cord… I personally like the michocaon hitch…. It’s great under load and I’ve rappelled using only the hitch a few times just testing it out… however it can’t be tied using a loop so thats something to think about
