I know this is an old thread...
Has anyone experienced the popping/cracking noise from a LWCG stand on hardwood trees like those experienced with the Beast stand? I'm looking to make a switch but didn't want to end up with the same issue in a different expensive stand. I'm considering a .5 with a medium seat.
I switched from the beast stand to lwcg for the same reason. Been running a .75 for two seasons now and haven’t heard it pop yet.

I used my beast twice all season. Wish I could go back to stands but there's no safe logical way to transport a stand on an Ebike other than a cart hooked up to it which I have no way of transporting around

No, beast stand is the only stand I have experienced that with.

Jason from tbwpcast just did a new YouTube video about the the reason why he's going back to his LW Assault 2stand and not using the beast stand all the time anymore.

Can’t you just pack it on your back like you’re walking in? Just make it ride a littler higher on your back. Not sure if this would work or not

possibly, but the bottom still hits the cargo milk crate on the way in and drives me crazy. I also have found no way I like of getting my one sticks up the tree in one go with the stand quietly. Might sell it actually.
I would attach my stand to a Doyle’s gear hoist and pull it up after I’m standing on the last stick. Also would use a second hoist to pull my weapon up once I’m up there so wouldn’t have to go back down to the ground. Little bit of a trade off with 2 hoists but makes it handy to get everything up in one shot. Just an idea.

I've used mine dozens and dozens of times, I only heard a pop during initial set up a couple of time. Once set it's been silent for me? I haven't used other "high end stands" but I gifted my Assualt II after the first season. It does have a bit of flex but size per weight ratio I expected that.

I beveled the teeth on the top tree bracket on my beast stand. Have had zero issues with noise with mine. Have actually used mine quite a bit this year.

Pretty ironic considering how he raved about the beast stand before. He also said it never made any noise which wasn’t my experience. I ditched the beast bracket and put a batwing on mine to fix the issue.

I feel like there was more that he didn't like than he let on. His main complaint was the seat which is easily remedied by the premium seat. Good for him for making an update video

Honestly the premium seat isn’t much better than the regular one noise wise. I transitioned from the mesh seat to the reg seat on the lwcg to save weight. I tried the premium beast cushion on it since it was sitting in the corner and I sold my stand before using it. It was loud in my opinion. If scooting back or rotating my body one direction or another for a seated shot I would have definitely been busted if the deer was close. I did stealth strip it but haven’t used it since then so we’ll see how that goes.

Could be true since he beveled the teeth on the antler bracket and the V bracket but who knows. Did the batwing remedy the issue with the popping noise? If so, I don’t understand why they don’t change the bracket. They would sale many more stands if they could fix the popping issue.

I also beveled the teeth on mine but it didn’t completely fix the issue. The batwing worked because it doesn’t bite so deeply into the tree. I also found that the noise issue varies between different types of trees. Hack berry trees seem to be particularly bad for som reason.

I know he is looked up to in the hunting world but his reviews are pointless. Everything he uses or gets in the best ever and the greatest. Hes basically a salesman. I bought a pac seat cause of how great and comfortable he claimed it to be. Its more comfortable to lean against my LXCG stand and sit on the ground then sit in that dam thing.
