So what will you be carrying for the firearms deer season this year?

Either my custom 700 in 6.5x55 Swede or S&W 357mag with 7” throwing 140 Buffalo Bores.

Savage axis 2 cheapy in stainless 308. so daggum accurate I don't need a more expensive rifle. CVA smokeless muzzleloader for primitive season (not that primitive any more).

I haven't used one in a few seasons but when I do it's a Browning Hells Canyon 30-06. That thing is a killer.

Youth model, single shot, 243. compact, light, and easy to move around in tree. Hasn’t let me down yet.

I will be hitting the woods with either the Thompson center compass in 30-06, or the Ruger American in 450 bushmaster.

I traded a Savage 243 with night vision for a R.I.A. Pro Match Ultra Tactical 10mm with a HoloSun red dot sight. I'll be putting it to work, on a couple of Ohio's Deer Gun Seasons, this fall.

Depend on things. I might go down to WV for gun week with the rest of the family. Going to use my Marlin 336 in 35Rem that has not seen the wood yet. This is a purely bonding action and tribute to the gun that he gave me to take his daughter off his hand, I'm still going to use the bow until the last day to hunt.

Same gun and same caliber. Gun shoots like a dream and for the PA mountains nothing else is needed. It took the place of my grandfathers Rem. 30-06 pump which is a PA legend in itself but I want to make sure I keep that thing nice and clean.

Vz. 24 re-barrelled to 7x57, very similar to your 7mm-08. Excellent round, I've taken a bunch of deer with 160gr-175gr handloads and factory ammo. Alternate between that and a couple of .444 Marlins - a stainless Marlin levergun, and a single-shot NEF. No blood on the levergun yet but the single-shot has put meat in the freezer.

8" 300 blackout AR15 with my Omega 300 on the end with Barnes Vor-Tx 110 Grain TAC-TX
S&W M&P 2.0 10mm

My kid will be shooting a CVA Scout 300 blackout suppressed during youth season. Super quiet and not much recoil.
