Tethrd Skeletor Sticks

I received mine today and tinkered with them all afternoon on several different trees. I am very satisfied with my purchase. I wouldn’t mind if the steps were a little longer but other than that I really like them. They are rock solid in every tree I tried them on. I really like the dynalock tab also. Seems they upgraded the rope from the ONE sticks. The stacking pins are also improved and held in by a simple screw. When I am not one sticking I will be using these.

Holy crap, this means a lot. You are a hard man to please. :)

Still waiting for shipping notification. All they could tell me was they are shipping the skeletors out as fast as they can.

Same here. Said I made the first 1000 and that they would be here before Christmas. But that was all.

Did they ever release the "One" stick aider? I seen the prototype for that stick and it looks like it would work just as well on these sticks....

Not even commercially available yet and we’re seeing bent standoffs on the Skeletor? I’m curious how long that YouTube video posted above will be posted until he’s asked to delete it.

It’s more frustrating to me because I’d definitely be interested in trying out the One Stick and other Tethrd products, but I’m not willing to pay to be a test dummy. I did that with the Gen1 Predator platform, I’ll pass.

Hopefully the bent Skeletor standoff is an isolated incident or one that can be easily amended.
From what was on the video he said it was users error. After you put it on the tree he said you take the bottom of the stick and pull it away from the tree and push the stick down.

Just unboxed today. They feel lighter than 2lbs/ea but I've seen videos where they scale out to that. Had one stacking pin broken during shipping but was able to fix w/the extras they send along, no biggie. Only mod so far I've done is with a silver Sharpie on the steps (picture) which I also did on my Shikars. Wish the rope loop button (picture) was just a little longer to make looping the rope a little easier but it will do for now until I figure an off-set for it. I'll give them a run on the next hunt and report back.

I got mine today too. No issues off the bat. I like the silver sharpie idea though. Plan on taking them out Thursday for a quick evening hunt. Going to run 3 with 1 double step aider on bottom stick and single steps off the other 2. Just going to hang the aiders off the steps.

3 steps with aiders should get me plenty high enough

For those interested in cable aider. I put in a longer socket head cap screw and installed on standoff side of the stick. See pics. This is a short cable aider, but slick way to contain it without needing anything additional.

Lots of options with these.

Nothing fancy needed or had to be done, but thought I'd share.

How high are you getting w/ the four sticks and the one cable aider?

What’s the purpose of the silver sharpie?

I believe they are "Coloring in" the top of the steps between the high posts in order to see the steps when lighting is low. Essentially its a mod to make the steps more visible.

Well you can do a little math here. Say they are 18” step to step. Set the sticks 20” apart so each stick will get ya 38” x 4 = 152” plus the aider on 1 stick… I think it was 16” so 152 + 16 = 168…. 168/12 = 14 feet high

My understanding is that they decided not to produce the aider and gave the design to BWMG to make them. I have a 2 step one and its pretty sweet.

Design? It’s not just two loops to hook onto each side of a step?

With some bungee cord stuff

Edit; After going and looking at the bwmg the aider I seen must just have been Greg's personal 1... It had some shock cord/bungee that kept tension on the loops so they couldn't accidently come off the end of the strip
