Fiskar has a great warranty. I had some extendable loppers that bit off more than they could chew and broke. Sent them a picture and they sent me a new pair of loppers. Not sure if all their products have the same warranty or not.

Yeah I have a Fiskars weed puller that I managed to break and they sent me a new one after sending a pic. Definitely going to look at one of their axes.

A fish sandwiches and the Booger retrieval tool. I'm tired of dropping things out of the tree and having to climb back down to get it. I'm too old for that crap.

Haters gonna hate. I plan on using it wirh my hand-made red oak handle jerk rig. Best of old and new skewl

Tie your jerk line to the front of a single decoy. Run the line through a loop on a decently heavy weight, a small mushroom boat anchor work good. Pull the strings and the decoy will look like it’s feeding…..pull the string like a man and you will get all the motion you could ever hope for. Also, be sure to put several decoys close by to benefit from the waves.

I’ll go so far as to pull the decoy all the way under and let go the rope to really get a commotion going.

Bought a new saddle. Sold the previous saddle.

Bought one more Amsteel daisy chain, since I found myself using another stick at times this year compared to previous seasons. (Had the stick, but it had a strap instead of the daisy chain).

8x42 binos. Will be selling 12x50 at some point. Wider FOV from the 8x will be an improvement.

Tried on some clothes for sizing and added them to the Christmas list. Will have to see if anything comes through.

i will probably be using one stick with a straight scout on top and 2-3 squirrel steps on an OCB most of the time.

when I run the predator xl it will probably be late season with multiple sticks and I will probably strap it to the outside of the pack with the sticks. Outer layers inside the pack. That might change when I see the pack.
Did you ever try this out? If so, how did it work? Got any pictures?

What are you referring to?

I am referring to the Kifaru Shape Charge. (A post or two prior to the one I quoted above was from December of 2020, where you indicated you had purchased a Kifaru Shape Charge. That's my question: how did the Shape Charge work out?)

IMO it’s the best pack out. I sold the RG one and bought a multicam one.

Thanks. I've been using the Eberlestock X2. Works well, maybe I'm just looking for a better mousetrap and the Shape Charge is a possibility.

A beautiful piece of Horween cordovan leather for making myself some finger tabs. I like a simple leather tab...no palm plate, no stitching or other stuff...just a piece of high quality leather. Its hard to find a tab like this.
I found the leather on Etsy, Huntley Leather.
Also ordered 25' of 1/8" Amsteel for some diy tree stand add-ons.
Recently received 4 Rollercam buckles to construct new straps for my Predators. I need to have Strapworks sew some loops in webbing and these new straps be all set. Tethrd really needs to look at adding a Rollercam buckle to their straps. I love them.

Bought a fiskar splitting axe and it eats!!! I combined that with my early Christmas Present from the folks which was a makita cordless chainsaw and I got as much axe swinging as anyone could ever ask for. It’s been a blast.

WOOD CUTTING & Stacking Timelapse

View attachment 58075
That was exhausting......2 methods to try and see which u like better...method 1: take a junk tire and stick all the pieces of wood inside the center as u can fit..start chopping
Method 2: u need a short length of chain...maybe foot or 2 and a rubber bungee cord...stack wood vertical in a circular shape and wrap the outside of the pile with the bungee and chain...start chopping

The bungee or the tire contains the wood so u just keep swinging till they are all quartered or whatever size...
