Drew my first application today from everything I’ve put in for. Mississippi Non Resident Spring Turkey. Pretty pumped even though I’m not fully sure I want to hurt there or florida! Both sound awesome

We had 60 degrees after work today so I started working up an arrow for a rambo riser with border limbs.
(Buy borders at your own risk)
I will endorse the hex 6s if you can get them.
I set my shelf, brace and nocking pt. shooting a bare shaft 15 yards.
I kept trimming until I felt ready to fletch one.
Then I shot the bare shaft with the fletched several times.
Thats when this happened.
So much for bull dog collars but they look nice. I think they help.

My bareshaft did a bounce out onto the floor. Kinda startled me, wth? Robinhood!
My target was in the garage by the service door and as I was heading into the house I found the collar by my truck outside the garage.

I ordered a strop from Knives Plus in
Texas and it arrived today.
I need to test it out but it came highly recommended by a few guys I know.

They send it with a compound impregnated in the leather.

I'm not totally satisfied in that it is not mounted to real wood but on a piece of mdf which is not impervious to water.

Extra care is needed with this product.Screenshot_20220321-183522_Gallery.jpg

Ordered a new muffler and rear brake cable for my ATV!

Also spent nearly 7 hours communing with my chainsaw, clearing off the big deadfall off the dirt bike trails in the county forest near me. Trails were all clear and ready to ride for opening day which was today.

Cleaned up more of what's left of my backyard after emerald ash borer came through a year or two back. :disrelieved: Lost a few of my good practice trees...

Side note, managed to get the new skeletors some new clothes... don't really need with a set of beast sticks, but part of me has had sellers remorse ever since I sold my 2 sets of leverage sticks on here back in my early saddle hunting days for some reason (mainly thanks to DanO and what I DIY'd).

So today is the day we finally got Wahlburgers per my wife.
I'm off to a good start!

Today I was able to walk to the bathroom without crutches.
It was slow going, swelling going down.
Had a second meniscus surgery to clean up what the first Dr. did.
I hope yo be able to hunt this year.

Had the same surgery (on my left knee) about 7 years ago now. I had a torn meniscus thst would flap over, whenever it did my knee would swell and I could hardly walk on it. Felt like I was 90 years old. You’ll be feeling a lot better soon.

I hung a couple more trail cameras today. 11 out so far and 5 or so more to go.
Cell cams or both? Same property or various? What locations are you keying on or are you hanging them on mock scrapes or ?
