    Is one-sticking still a thing?

I’d be curious to hear about your 2TC experiences. I’ve done it too. I want it to work so bad, it seems like the answer on paper. I’ve experimented quite a bit, and have a functional setup put together, I’m still not 100% happy with it though.

    Is one-sticking still a thing?

I want 2TC to work so badly, I’ve got a rig put together, the most I’ve used it is to get a pre-set in a tree after 75 misses with the throw ball.

    Is one-sticking still a thing?

You guys think it's growing in popularity still? Or is it falling out of favor a bit?

    Grim Reaper

A few years back I tried them, I’ll share my experiences for what they’re worth. I shot two deer, a doe with a 1 3/4 grim reaper and was surprised at how little the wound was, and not a great amount of blood. It did the job, deer died well within 100 yards but I'm sure all three blades did...

Any tips for more comfort when climbing SRT? ( suspended from the rope in other words)

I've had some success with SRT this year including one animal so far, but….I got into a such an uncomfortable position yesterday during a climb I realize I don’t have it figured out yet. This particular tree forces you to have an anchor point a little bit away from the trunk so your basically...

Any feedback on Ft Campbell? 3doe a day limit is intriguing but is it more trouble than it’s worth?

Also does a saddle fall under their definition of a tree stand?

    Opening weekend close-calls?

I’ll share one in the spirit of learning from mistakes… I was trying to get a tree prepped for srt and was having no luck with the throwball. I decided I'd just two tether climb it and toss my paracord over when I got up there. The crotch is 35’ high and I had to pass branches around 30’ up to...

    Opening weekend close-calls?

I’m curious if any one has any close calls or scary experiences related to climbing/saddles they want to share yet? Nobody is stuck in the tree are they?

    Don’t pay 150 for a madrock…you don’t need it.

I’m using 10mm workpro. I’m trying to get the hang of two tether climbing. The madrock loses several inches by the time I get my tether up the tree a few times if I’m not smooth. It’ll hang on the same spot all day if you don’t do anything with the rope, but so will a GriGri.

    Don’t pay 150 for a madrock…you don’t need it.

The WHOLE point of the Madrock over every other device is that it won’t slip down a slack line while you are f’n around with your one stick. That’s the only thing it (sort of) does that every other belay device won’t. So don’t jump on and act like that doesn’t matter. Again, that’s the WHOLE...

Alternative to the Celtic knot for a “keeper” while advancing your tether?

What are you guys using to keep the tether from slipping down the tree during the times it is slack

Don’t get me started on crocs.

    Don’t pay 150 for a madrock…you don’t need it.

Madrocks are just OK. Don’t obsess. Their big claim to fame is they advance on the rope and hold without falling back down. Guess what? They do slip down the rope, just slower. You can go up and down with any number of alternatives.

    Two tether climbing-who's doing it?

Are you doing the leg loop? I’m curious what kind of set up you like.

    Bowline knots suck.
