    2tc vs one sticking

Why hasn’t the 2TC method caught on like one sticking?

    One sticking - original method

For any old farts out there does this video do a decent job at explaining the original method? Anybody unfamiliar how does this compare to cam cleats & rappelling?

    Slack tender

I’m getting older & wiser, I think!!! This single arrow pusher gives me a couple more feet of slack management. You could add another arrow, but I don’t find it necessary. Storage is key with a piggy back.

    How it started

I was tagged in the influencer thread posted recently. It was a bit of a surprise and influencing was definitely not my intention yrs ago. My one stick posting and YouTube vids was 100% a result of nasayers. “Your going to kill ourself, that’s the stupidest thing I’ve ever seen” were the...

    Louisiana teach n train

#5 Last year’s Baton Rouge event fell victim to COVID. So looking at scheduling the 2021 LA teach n train for May 1st or May 8th. I'm open to locations and somewhat flexible on dates. Give me some ideas and we will try to accommodate the majority. In addition to Tethrd gear, Uncle Lou from...

    Multi stick climbing methods

Seems to be the age old question when using multi sticks - “how to get them up the tree in one trip”. I did a video to discuss some methods I’ve used & what seems to be popular methods. Gave my opinion on pros & cons of each.

    LA Teach n Train

Tethrd is putting on a teach n train event at Waddill Wildlife Refuge on March 28th from 8-3. In addition to Tethrd gear and saddles, if anyone is interested we can discuss climbing techniques - multi sticks, one stick, no stick, aiders, & spurs. I will also have my rappelling gear. Waddill...

    No Stick method

Been playing around with this for a few days. For me it’s working as well as single sticking. Haven’t tried any other platforms, but my DIY assault has had minimal kick outs & those were on irregular tree shapes.

    Stick-step

Been playing around with this stick-step for a couple months. My first thought was strictly a one stick method tool. For this I prefer using a cam buckle & 2 step aider. However, I am going to build 3 more & use a movable 2 step aider as a multiple stick method. Pretty much the WE concept...

    Multi stick setup

I have been using my saddle on the majority of hunts this year & have found the need for a multi stick setup. Lately the trees have been large, crooked, leaning, & viney just a pain to climb with the one mini stick. So I'm going with two full lengths, aiders, & the mini for now. Setup packs...

    LW platform

Just putting the finishing touches on my LW mini platform. It's a mini stick & assault seat that serves as my climbing method & footrest. Weight is 4lbs & sturdy enough to walk around the tree. Folds flat for climbing & packing. I wear it like a sling pack.

    Bod harness/Molle seat

Here is my Bod harness with added Molle waist belt & custom Molle seat. I've made a couple 20 min test sits. Pinch is minimal & I haven't played with bridge lengths or set height yet. I think I'll try & adjustable bridge. Still need to get some biner & webbing, but I think I've settled on...
