    IQ Define

Has anyone ever successfully set this site up? It looks like a difficult one to get dialed in. Not as much so as a Garmin. I could use some help. I purchased it because I got a great deal and it consolidates my gear a little more. Sent from my SM-N970U using Tapatalk

Has anyone installed this rangefinder bow site? When I took it out of the package and tested the lazer for the rangefinder it was extremely dim. Im hesitant to install it. Sent from my SM-N970U using Tapatalk

Specialized archery range and bow shop.

Ok i had an idea for a bow shop/range set up for regular targets, competitive shooting and something setup for us saddle hunters to practice shooting with our gear. I live in the burbs of Atlanta and in my area the best I can do elevated is 25 yards. If I want to practice at longer distances I...

    API Stick Mods

I'm just about done with the mods to my API sticks. I've shorten them to 20" between steps, added a rope mod (last year), and made the top step a platform. The platform is a 3x3x1/4 square tube aluminum. I just cut it down and drilled holes. The stick was done with 3/8 holes 1 inch on center...

    Sit drag to Cruzr S

I just spent an hour in my new Cruzr S. Initial thoughts. Damn comfortable. The bridge does as advertised. And overall an extremely high quality saddle. I've used a friend's mantis and this is much more comfortable. My only complaint is with the leg straps. The make you feel like your walking in...

It's retirement time for my Lazertec

My tale begins a few weeks ago. This is about the time of year where I start my pre season prep. I opened my bow case to notice my strings looked a little more worn than I remembered. Naturally a trip to the bow shop was in order. So when things opened back up I took the old girl for a day at...

    Top stick platform combo

    Cruz saddles

Has anyone heard of this saddle? I just purchased one. I saw a video on YouTube and this guy got the deluxe model and he appears to be comfortable. I'm hoping that I'm my desperation to drop the sit drag and RCH. I didn't make a huge mistake. Sent from my SM-N970U using Tapatalk

    DIY Saddle

Hi all, Deer season is coming to a close in a few weeks here in my area. I have been using a saddle for 2 seasons and love the entire setup. I am now wanting to use my sit drag and RCH as a back up and make a new saddle. I am interested in the kestral style saddle. I've bee watching videos...

    Need advice

I'm hunting public land that is long and thin. There is a lake to one side and homes on the other. I have found the bedding and food areas and have been hunting the wind and the edges of the in between area. Every time I go there I see deer. I'm just never in the right spot to let an arrow fly...

Shot doe no blood or hair.

I shot a doe last night. I know I hit her right behind the shoulder blade. I heard the pop of my broadhead making contact. I gave it about 20 minutes before slowly climbing down. I went to the site of impact and didn't find blood or hair. Went back to my tree and called for help. Over an hour...

    Started with 11mm. climbing rope.

My gear is set up with 11mm rope. Was looking at smaller diameter ropes. They will hold more than my 165-175lbs self can generate in a fall. Any and all thoughts would be appreciated.

Seizing a Rope - Seizing an Eye in a Rope

I have done this method before but not for the purposes of saddle hunting. I am Navy Vet with better than adequate rope skills. I usually start this by stitch the rope together then seize it with a repeating spiral hitch. It's worked well for rigging hooks. No I will not be using Paracord but...

    Everyone I've met so far.

I am so impressed with this site. The Information I have found is very helpful and the more experienced with this system have given me a ton of options. My gear is almost ready for the practice phase (I have already set up the saddle and practiced shooting from it 12" off the ground). I feel...

    Bridge length

How long does my bridge need to be? Is there a set length or does it depend on your body. I am waiting on my sit drag and before I make another trip to REI I'd like to have some more info.

Linemans body harness or rock climbing harness.

Ok I'm completely sold on the saddle setup. My question is do I need to purchase a linemans body harness or will one of my rock climbing harnesses work for setting the sticks and a secondary safety system? I'm on a budget and don't want to spend a bunch of money on a setup that might work for me.
